On Saturday, September 25, 2019 HERoines Inc. had their second #unWINEd event. If you missed it you truly missed out. The east williamsburg loft was truly a scene fit for a true HERoine. Guests were served many of the delectable flavors of wine sponsored by SOCIAL sparkling wine including Elderflower Apple, Strawberry Rose, Hibiscus Cucumber, and Pink Grapefruit Ginger. There was food catered by Chef Brittney 'Stikxz' Williams of BWC Catering.
Having #unWINEd is important to HEROines INc. as it is the one event where we do many of the activities that led to its inception. The attendees learn about the facilitator and try some of the things that she has done to help her in her journey. There are lots of open discussions as this is how the organization came to be.
The guest facilitator for this year’s event was Seher Sikandar. Seher has a multi-hyphenated career and does everything from photography to writing to being a community facilitator. Seher shared her story with us and gave us insight into how she went from working in roles to please her family to creating the opportunities that she enjoys.
The attendees were able to try a lot of new things from hand sensitvity exercises to qigong to essential oils. Seher also showed some of the things in her tool kit like crystals and important books in her collection.
This night was a night to remember. We had a lot of fun and hope to see you at the next!
